The International Summer Opera Studio is a summer programme for young opera artists, based in Križevci, Croatia. It provides a platform for aspiring musicians to enhance their skills and knowledge in opera and vocal performance. The studio offers a comprehensive program that includes vocal training, language coaching, bulding a personal brand workshops, and performance opportunities. With a focus on nurturing talent and fostering artistic growth, the International Summer Opera Studio is dedicated to empowering the next generation of opera performers.

At the International Summer Opera Studio, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for young artists to flourish. Our program is designed to help individuals develop their musical abilities, stage presence, and language skills, preparing them for successful careers in opera performance. We welcome you to join our community of passionate musicians and experience the transformative power of opera.
 

Founded in 2023, we began with a series of Masterclasses aimed at young singers, offering them a unique and enriching opportunity to work closely with a conductor, pianist, and vocal coach. Our primary goal was to provide participants with a well-rounded approach to developing their performance skills and preparing a diverse program. Thanks to the support of incredible individuals, our vision expanded, and in the summer of 2024, we proudly launched our first ISOS project.

The program was split into two main categories:

 

Beginners: Led by Ana Majdak Fak (vocal coach, stage director, and choreographer) and Alessandro Cadario (conductor, focusing on musical performance), participants worked on a staged production of Bastien und Bastienne by W.A. Mozart.

 

Young Professionals: Guided by Alessandro Cadario, Filip Fak, and Ana Majdak Fak, this track focused on arias and duets from operas and oratorios, culminating in a final concert performance.

What sets us apart from other opera studio programs is our holistic approach. In addition to vocal coaching, we offer practical lectures on self-promotion through social media, led by Matea Baraba (social media specialist), and insights on choosing the right competitions and building a personal brand, presented by Barbara Minghetti (cultural manager).

In 2025., we are excited to welcome Professor Diana Haller, who will be joining us to work with students on both repertoire and vocal technique, further enriching our participants' development.
